Mark _shown_items_ as read

Hello, just wanted to mention a function that I really want to see:

"Mark shown items as read" for when I have more than 10 items unread in a feed and have read the first 10, and want to mark them all as such, but not touch the rest until I have read them (the other pages so to say).

Also it would be nice to be able to browse between "pages" of n (10?) unread items each.

FeedOnFeeds shows a checkbox on each item; you can check each item as you read it.

In addition, each item has a "Flag all items up to this" which makes it even quicker - I start reading at the top, when I have to stop reading I click "Flag all items up to this" on the last item I read, then click "Mark all flagged items as read"

This is much, much, much simpler than what Gregarius has at present: I have to click on the "edit" icon, then untick "Mark this item as unread", then click submit - three clicks per item! there's no way for me to batch-mark-as-read either - my only options are three-clicks-per-post, or ignore-all-outside-distractions-until-all-posts-are-read-and-hope-browser-doesn't-crash-in-the-meantime.

Both changes suggested above are less of an issue now that double-clicking to mark as read works. I (as the original submitter) change prio to lowest. Please feel free to just close this ticket if you like :)

I'd disagree with priority to be honest. If you have 300 unread items, thats 300 clicks to use which also disrupt the flow of just reading down a web page. With FOF you can carry on reading down the page until you run out of time. Then two clicks, one to select up to here and the other to mark selected read (which could be shortened to selectuptohere and mark as read) is a lot easier.

A good workaround for this at the moment is to view an unread feed and then when you have finished reading this page, press Alt-M to mark the feed as read and then go to the next feed. Although this doesn't give you individual post selection its not too difficult to press alt-m for each feed.
