more comprehensive error messages when adding rss feeds

Description

Currently, when adding invalid RSS feeds, the error message "I'm sorry, I couldn't retrieve $url" appears. As far as I can tell, this error message appears when a feed is invalid, when the feed's location does not exist, and when the page is not a RSS/Atom feed.
